The Void Worm is a boss mob that can be summoned using a Mysterious Worm.
Summoning[]
Throwing a Mysterious Worm into the void of The End will spawn the Void Worm.
This can only be done if the Ender Dragon has been defeated.
Behavior[]
The Void Worm is an aggressive mob.
It has several attacks that it can use to defeat underprepared players. These include:
- Shooting out 4 green homing crystals that deal small amounts of damage each.
- A bite attack it uses if its opponent gets too close. This bite deals knockback upon being hit by it.
- A portal attack in which the Void Worm will open a portal/rift, similar to the Dimensional Carver, and will use this to reach other areas quicker.
Splitting[]
When fighting the Void Worm, it is important that damage will need to be done to the head. If enough damage is done to the body, the Void Worm will split in two, creating another Void Worm. These additional worms are smaller and have half the health of the original, but have the same attacks the main Void Worm has. New Void Worms will keep spawning if the player continues to attack the body.
Drops[]
When the Void Worm is defeated, its loot will be floating mid-air while temporarily surrounded by Ender Residue. The Void Worm is guaranteed to drop 2 Void Worm Mandibles and 1 Void Worm Eye, some of the necessary ingredients to craft a Dimensional Carver.

Trivia[]
- The Void Worm is one of five mobs to have separate entities making up its body.
- The other four mobs are the Bone Serpent, Cave Centipede, Anaconda and Murmur.
- The way the Void Worm splits its separate bodies when damaged is a heavy reference to the Eater of Worlds boss from Terraria. In addition, this mob may have also been inspired by The Devourer of Gods from the Calamity mod of Terraria.
- As of now, the Void Worm is the only true boss from the Alex's Mobs mod.
- Because it is defeated after the Ender Dragon is defeated, it is technically Minecraft's true final boss, some people would often call this mob a Post-Ender-Dragon boss.
- The Void Worm may be based on a parasitic worm called the Tapeworm.
- The Void Worm is capable of breaking through Chorus Plant and Chorus Flower blocks.
- The way the Void Worm drops its loot mid-air while surrounded by Ender Residue is likely inspired by the Wall of Flesh from Terraria; both bosses create surroundings for their loot to protect it from the surrounding environment.
- The ambience while the Void Worm is alive is a soundtrack called "Wormboss", made by LudoCrypt.

| "The Void Worm is an ancient creature that naturally dwells in the void beneath The End. It is thought that these worms are some sort of interdimensional parasite, due to their innate ability to tunnel through reality. This boss can be baited out of the void by tossing a Mysterious Worm into the End's void. One can obtain one of these worms by placing a Crimson Mosquito Larva inside an Enderiophage's Capsid. The Void Worm is equipped with multiple devastating attacks. Firstly, it can launch up to four homing crystals from its mouth at a time, which seek out any nearby prey and deal great damage. Then, the worm will attempt to directly bite whatever gets in its way. Finally, the worm can tear a portal open out of nothing to reach any hidden prey. When attempting to slay this beast, one must make sure to only deal significant damage to the head. If a body segment is severely damaged, it will stop glowing, and if destroyed the entire worm will split in two. These split worms will have half the health and move a bit slower, but they still deal a great amount of damage. If one is not careful, they may end up absolutely swamped with worms. When slain, the worm drops both an eye and two of it's mandibles. The mandibles can be put together to make a beak, a trophy that when activated with redstone bites any mob in its jaws. The eye can be used with the mandibles and some netherite to create a magical pickaxe: the Dimensional Carver. Unlike other pickaxes, the Dimensional Carver is not used to break through blocks, but rather through reality itself. By using the tool anywhere, one can tear open a portal back to their spawn. On the other side, a temporary return portal will also be opened, for only a minute. One should make sure not to overuse this tool, since it only has 20 uses." |
