Soul Vultures are placatable mobs that can be found near the Fossils of Soul Sand Valleys.
Behavior[]
Soul Vultures will mostly fly around.
Additionally, they can only land on Bone Blocks.
Soul Vultures are placatable and will attack any nearby player unless that player is wearing an Unsettling Kimono.
They will attack by circling around their target before flying towards the target and using their claws to deal damage. Upon damaging the target, the Soul Vulture will have a chance to sap the health of its target and heal for the amount of damage dealt.(However it can only sap the targets heath if the soul vulture doesn't have full heath) After using its soulsteal ability five times, it will drop a Soul Heart upon its death.
Soul Vultures will target Piglins and Piglin Brutes and attack them. Soul Vultures are also prey for Bone Serpents and can be seen getting attacked by them.

- Interestingly, vanilla Minecraft will eventually add regular Vultures into their game. This is the reason why Soul Vultures exist in the mod instead of regular Vultures.

These undead birds can be seen circling the countless giant skeletons that litter the landscape. If approached, Soul Vultures will launch a health-stealing assault on any explorer, where they can sap health up to a maximum of five times from their prey. If slain afterwards, they may have a chance to drop their soul-infused heart. The Soul Heart can be used to brew a Potion of Soulsteal, which gives the drinker the same health-sapping powers as the bird.
