Snow Leopards are neutral mobs that can be found in Snowy Slopes, Jagged Peaks and Frozen Peak biomes.

Behavior[]

Snow Leopards will fight back if the player attacks one and will attack by stalking their target before leaping into the air and using their claws to swipe at their target.

Snow Leopards will hunt a variety of mobs, including Sheep and livestock animals.

Snow Leopards are often seen sitting, resting, or hunting.

Snow Leopards are capable of walking on two blocks placed on top of each other.

Snow Leopards do not take fall damage.

Snow Leopards can walk on Powder Snow.

When a Snow Leopard kills its prey, it has a looting effect on the mob drops meaning that any dropped item that is affected by looting will have its amount increased when a Snow Leopard kills it.

Breeding[]

Snow Leopards can be bred with Raw Moose Ribs.

Feeding two Snow Leopards some Raw Moose Ribs causes them to enter love mode and eventually one of the Snow Leopards will spawn a baby Snow Leopard.

Animal Dictionary Entry
"Snow Leopards are big cats that can be found in snowy, mountainous areas. These cats, although voracious hunters, are not aggressive towards humans. They can often be spotted sitting or sleeping on snowy peaks. They will, however, be found stalking livestock, especially the Sheep that are their favorite prey. Snow Leopards will arch their back and sneak up behind their prey, before dealing a devastating leap attack. These big cats can also use their claws to attack in close combat. Snow Leopards are such proficient predators that their kills often yield extra drops, as if the creature had a high looting level. Although Snow Leopards cannot be tamed, they can be bred with Moose Ribs, meat from a creature they could only ever dream of hunting. These big cats are no pushovers, and will defend themselves or their offspring from any attacks."
