Shoebills are passive mobs that can be found in Swamp biomes.
Behavior[]
Shoebills are timid and will fly away if attacked.
Shoebills will also attack any baby Turtles, Crocodiles, Alligator Snapping Turtles, Terrapins or Caimans that they find.
Fishing[]
Shoebills can occasionally be seen fishing for loot by dunking their heads in the Water and picking up anything that they find.
The loot is exactly the same from what the player can get from fishing.
Crocodile Eggs can be fed to Shoebills to increase their lure on their catches and Terrapin Eggs can also be fed to Shoebills to increase their luck on their catches.
If a Shoebills catches a fish then they will eat it while they will discard the valuable stuff, this makes Shoebills useful for automated fish farms.

"Shoebills are strange, stork-like birds found in Swamps. These intimidating looking birds are actually surprisingly timid, and will take wing when attacked. They are often seen shaking their large, strange beaks. When left alone, Shoebills can often be seen fishing, catching their favorite food. Often times, Shoebills will produce bycatch that are useless to them, but not to everyone. Shoebills can be fed Crocodile Eggs to increase the "lure" effect on their catches, and fed Terrapin Eggs to increase the "luck" of their catches. Shoebills are so naturally timid that they cannot be bred by people. Asides from fish, Shoebills will also attack baby Crocodiles and Turtles, which are also part of their diet." |
