Rain Frogs are passive mobs that spawn in Desert biomes during the rain.
Behavior[]
Rain Frogs are often seen buried in Sand blocks. They can only emerge if its raining, they get attacked or if a Shovel is used to dig them out.
Rain Frogs that have been dug out with a Shovel will never submerge themselves in Sand again.
If attacked, Rain Frogs will puff up and emit a loud squeaking sound.
Making It Rain[]
Jukeboxes that are playing music will make any nearby Rain Frogs start dancing, after enough time has passed with them dancing, it will start raining.
Breeding[]
Rain Frogs can be bred with Maggots.
Feeding two Rain Frogs some Maggots causes them to enter love mode and eventually one of the Rain Frogs will spawn a baby Rain Frog.
Trivia[]
- Along with the previously said Maggots, Rain Frogs will eat any Crimson Mosquito Larvae or Leafcutter Ant Pupae they find, however, nothing happens when they do this.
- If a Rain Frog is around a Jukebox when a Music Disc is inserted, it will start dancing.

"Rain Frogs are small frogs that can only be found on overcast days in Desert biomes. Unlike other Frogs they cannot jump or swim well, and do not create Tadpoles. They can often be seen trying to hide themselves in the Sand. When threatened, Rain Frogs will puff up and make a loud squeaking sound. Rain Frogs can be fed Maggots to breed them. They will eat any small insect items they can find. If a Shovel is used on a burrowing Frog, it will become disturbed and will not disappear. These Frogs are associated with Rain because of the belief that they can bring Rain if pleased. They are known to enjoy Music Discs…" |
