(Not to be confused with Mimicream)
Mimicubes are hostile mobs that can be found in End Cities.
Behavior[]
Mimicubes are aggressive and will attack by jumping towards their target and hitting them.
Mimicking Ability[]
If the player is holding a weapon or wearing a helmet, then attacks a Mimicube, the Mimicube will copy the weapon and/or helmet and start using them in battle.
This means the stronger the weapons and helmets, the harder it is to kill a Mimicube.
Mimicubes can also copy food and will also start using the food to heal themselves. The amount of food they have depends on the amount of food the player was holding at the time of the attack.
Trivia[]
- Due to how Mimicube's mimic power of copying player's weapons, enchantments, armory, and their gear, a decent bit of people dislike this mob due to how extremely annoying they can be to fight.
- They are the first, and only slime-like mob to be added into the mod, however, unlike their Slime and Magma Cube relatives, they do not seem to spawn in different sizes.
- Mimicubes are the first mimicking creatures to be added into the mod, the second is the Mimic Octopus.

"Mimicubes are relatives of the Slimes of the Overworld and the Magma Cubes of The Nether. These monsters can often be found guarding End Cities. Unlike their slimy cousins, these gelatinous creatures possess a more powerful magic than almost any other known beast. When attacked, Mimicubes will attempt to mimic the weapons and armor of their attacker. This can mean that anyone wearing a Helmet and brandishing a Sword can find themselves being attacked by a Mimicube with the exact same equipment. In this way, the Mimicube can learn to use a Shield, Sword, Bow, Crossbow, Trident, Food and more. Care should be taken when dealing with Mimicubes, as using a powerful Shield or Sword against one can result in a foe that is difficult to defeat. When slain, Mimicubes can drop some of their magical gel, called Mimicream. One can harness the natural shape-shifting magic of the Mimicream by using eight Mimicream and any damageable item in the crafting grid. With a few limitations, this can effectively created a mimicked, copied tool or equipment, with almost all the Enchantments of the original. Of course, it is duplicated with zero durability, and must be repaired. This mimicking ability of the cream has resulted in it being widely sought after." |
