Maned Wolves are passive mobs that spawn rarely in Savanna biomes.
Behavior[]
Maned Wolves will often walk around but don't do that much unless they are fed a type of food.
Producing Stench[]
Feeding a Maned Wolf an Apple will make it shake its fur, producing a bad smell in the process.
This smell will attract all nearby mobs towards it along as those mobs are not classed as a monster.
The smell can also speed the growth rate of Gongylidia in nearby Leafcutter Ant Chambers.
Maned Wolves will produce the stench for 5 seconds.
Breeding[]
Maned Wolves can be bred with Raw Chicken or Raw Rabbit.
Feeding two Maned Wolves some Raw Chicken or Raw Rabbit causes them to enter love mode and eventually one of the Maned Wolves will spawn a baby Maned Wolf.

- The effect used when Maned Wolves produce stench is similar to the effects on Stink Rays when used on an entity.
- If a Maned Wolf is around a Jukebox when a Music Disc is inserted, it will start dancing.

Animal Dictionary Entry |
---|
"The Maned Wolf is a strange, passive canine found exclusively in Savannas. This animal, despite its name, is neither a Wolf nor a Fox. It is primarily frugivorous and loves Apples. Although it cannot be tamed like its Wolf cousin, the Maned Wolf can be fed Apples to make the animal shake its fur. When the Maned Wolf shakes, it releases a smell that makes it clear why this canine is also known as the Skunk Wolf. However, this smell attracts other animals to the area, making the Maned Wolf quite useful for herding livestock. This smell also increases the production of fungus in nearby Leafcutter Anthills. Maned Wolves can be bred with the meat of Rabbits or Chickens." |
