Flies are passive mobs that spawn in all overworld biomes except oceans.
Behavior[]
Flies usually don't do much except fly around however they can be seen biting zombies, skeletons, and other undead mobs they find. These bites don't damage the mob and the mob won't attack the fly that's biting them.
Spiders, frogs, and potoos will attack any flies they encounter.
Crimson Mosquito Mutating[]
If a fly is in the Nether, then the fly will transform into a crimson mosquito.
Breeding[]
Flies can be bred with rotten flesh.
Feeding two flies some rotten flesh causes them to breed and eventually a baby fly will spawn.
Sounds[]

Trivia[]
- Flies in the mod aren't actually as fast as they are in real-life.
- In Version 1.8.1, fly spawns where changed to be ambient spawns, this actually made it really difficult to change the spawn biomes for the fly.
- They are the most common mob to encounter due to them being ambient spawns and having a massive list of biomes to spawn in.

"Flies are small, annoying insects common in the overworld. Naturally attracted to dead and dying things, they can be found chasing and biting Zombies nearly to death. Flies can be bred with Rotten Flesh, and on death have a possibility to drop maggots. Fly Maggots can be used to breed other creatures, like Roadrunners and Capuchin Monkeys, and, in a pinch, used as a light snack. If a Fly happens to find itself in The Nether, the diminutive little creature will transform into the monstrous Crimson Mosquito." |
