Tamed Bald Eagles can be picked up using a Falconry Glove which will put the Bald Eagle onto the player's hand. Left clicking afterwards or changing the item in the hotbar to something else will cause the Bald Eagle to come off.
Left clicking while facing at another entity will instead cause the Bald Eagle to attack that entity. After the entity is killed, the Bald Eagle will return to its owner's Falconry Glove or simply return to its owner if they are no longer holding a Falconry Glove.
Falconry Gloves can also be used to pick up and move Potoos although they cannot be used for falconry.
Falconry Hood[]
If a Bald Eagle wearing a Falconry Hood is launched from a Falconry Glove, the owner will have the ability to control exactly where it goes. During this time, the owner is not able to control themselves which can leave them vulnerable to attacks from other mobs if not careful.
To stop controlling the Bald Eagle, the player will need to either sneak or make the Bald Eagle travel further than 150 blocks. Afterwards, the Bald Eagle will return to its owner's Falconry Glove or simply return to its owner if they are no longer holding a Falconry Glove.
